They asked us questions and were willing to listen to our responses. Many people asked for more resources, our own website (LearnSikhi) received a massive jump in readership - people clearly did want to learn. It really wasn't worth it.Īudience that has no intentions whatsoever at actually learning anything new then what is the point? Doing that is more important than going into the Trump supporters community only to rub shoulders with them and to cash in a few brownie points. Thats's why I'm siding with our Muslims and minority brethren, and anybody else who has been vilified by them. Guru Ji has taught to us stand beside those who has nobody to stand with, the Kirpan is symbol of that exact notion and we state that here time somebody wants to know more. Like many have pointed out, they are only going to go out and say 'look, we're not racist, these guys did an AMA for us and look how nice we were!' Until they respect Muslims I will not give any value to what they have to say. Surely, we do not need to stoop so low for the sake of 'prachar' and spreading awareness about Guru's Sikhi. You can say you were educating them but most people at t-d are beyond the point of finding reason if they haven't already in the last 6 months. Prachar is all good and fine, but when your speaking to an audience that has no intentions whatsoever at actually learning anything new then what is the point? Are we really fine with them being respectful towards us only to turn around after to spout out the most vile, the most disgusting, and the most inhumane slurs you can ever imagine to a group that doesn't deserve it at all? I was writing this up in another thread before realising it was locked:
